Georgians must call their Legislatures and let them know HB 859 is not needed at or on our college campuses. Books are needed not Guns.
Here is a quick brief on House Bill 859. It would allow for licensed students 21 and older to carry a gun anywhere on a public college, technical school, vocational school, university campus, except for dormitories, fraternity and sorority houses, and at athletic events. The bill applies to the concealed carry of firearms and handguns. The average age of a University System of Georgia undergraduate is 23 years old.
