Call to Action – MARTA

On August 1, the Gwinnett County commissioners finally agreed to put a MARTA referendum on the ballot for voters. But instead of putting it on the ballot in November when everybody votes in the general election, they decided to put it on the ballot in March 2019.

This is just a cheap political move on their part. When you’ve got time to put this on a November ballot, and you wait until March? It will be a big extra expense to have another election in March. This doesn’t sound fiscally responsible to me.

I urge you to contact your county commissioner and tell them you want the MARTA referendum on the ballot in November! That is when people are more likely to come out and vote! Here is the contact information for the commissioners.
