Brett Mosier of Lawrenceville, Georgia, has earned a spot on the Spring 2018 Dean’s List at Valdosta State University.
Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean’s List. Developmental studies, transients, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean’s List status.
Valdosta State University is proud to announce that more than 1,500 students earned a spot on the Spring 2018 Dean’s List.

New Students Participate in Summer Orientation at Bob Jones University

Nathan Dwire of Lawrenceville joined other new students as Bob Jones University hosted summer orientation in June.
Incoming students and their parents attended informational sessions about the BJU experience, had the opportunity to ask questions regarding academics, financial aid and student life and became familiar with the campus.
Additionally, students had the opportunity to connect with other new students, current students and faculty.
“Summer orientation provides students and their families the opportunity to experience BJU,” said Mrs. Rebecca Weier, BJU’s Director of Student Success & Engagement . “Students who attend this exciting, informative program will be better prepared to start classes with confidence in August.”

Kevin Orellana to attend Oglethorpe University

Kevin Orellana of Lawrenceville was among first-year students welcomed to Oglethorpe University’s campus on July 20 for MAP Day (Making a Petrel).
The event is for incoming students who will attend Oglethorpe starting in fall 2018. During MAP Days, students meet with advisors, enroll in fall semester classes, and receive official Petrel Pass student IDs. Fall classes start August 20, 2018.
