Have you been caught by a school zone camera?
Many of you know first hand about those school zone cameras that snap pictures of cars speeding through school zones. Many of my constituents, including 2 of my legislative aides have received fines from these cameras.
I’m supporting HB 1126 which will repeal the law allowing these cameras. Did you know that the camera company receives 65% of the fine and law enforcement only 35%? And these cameras issue fines not only after school hours, but even when a car is being towed on a flat bed tow truck! This is not fair and these cameras need to go!
