Volunteers are the vehicles that drive our communities. I had a wonderful time at the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Volunteer Awards program. And I was encouraged by the number of youth who recieved awards.
I want Gwinnett County residents to know that volunteerism is something that everyone can engage in. Whether you choose to volunteer for Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, at a local school, church, or animal shelter your services are welcomed and are needed.
Volunteering is also a fantastic way for families to spend quality time with each other, and connect with neighbors as well. We have people here in Gwinnett County who need you, and just devoting an hour of your time impacts your community in a positive way. You could change someone’s life for the better.
